1. Start Your Day – Intentionally!
“The seeking of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim” [Tirmidhi].
Every morning, remind yourself why you’re heading off to school/college/university. Make your intention big and Allah will bless your efforts.
2. Early To Bed, Early To Rise
Routine is key. Make sure you get enough sleep and set a consistent time to wake up. Avoid setting dozens of alarms or hitting the snooze!
Try and aim for a good 8 hours sleep between Isha and Fajr prayers. This will keep your energy up so you can get more out of your day. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said:
“Allah made the early hours blessed for my Ummah” [Tirmidhi].
3. Write Things Down
Too much to do, not enough time! That’s probably how you feel every day.
Our tip, do a brain dump! Take a few mins every morning to jot down all the things that are bubbling in your head. Once you’ve got them down, it will be much easier to see and prioritise what to focus on for the day.
This tip is a must if you want to de-stress!
4. Find Ways to Chill
Another golden tip to avoid stress, find something that you enjoy doing, whether it’s running, baking or just reading something good. Make a space in your week so that you’ve always got that time set aside to unwind.
5. Give Back
There are so many ways to give back to the community, whether it’s donating to a food bank, or volunteering your time for charity.
Find a way to help others and by doing so, not only earn a huge amount of reward but feel good knowing that you’re making a difference with your time.
