Fundraising really is all about having fun whilst raising money for charity at the same time. Here we have lots of creative ideas to get you well on your way to reaching your target!
Online Fundraising is the easiest way to fundraise! Click here to create a JustGiving page then start sharing the link with your family and friends for them to help you reach your goal via social media and WhatsApp, it’s that simple! One of the benefits of this is that people can donate at their own convenience. Also, other people can share your page for you to reach more people!
For example, if your target s £300. This may seem like a lot, but it’s easier than you think!
Messaging just 12 friends and family to support you in changing the lives of 30 youth by giving just £25 each via your JustGiving page will help you raise £300 by the permission of Allah
Invite People for a Party: Why not combine the reward for feeding people and raise money at the same time! Cook at home and invite your friends and family over. Either set the donation amount beforehand or get people to donate on the night. Why not combine some of the options below like a bake sale or auction and maximise the money you raise!
Sports Day: Get your local community involved. Hold a sports day with classic activities like an egg & spoon race, three-legged race, sack race and lots more. Make it an unforgettable day by getting adults and the children involved, a real family event. You can either charge an entrance fee, an event participation fee or ask people to donate on the day.
Leave It! Challenge: Can you get through a week, or a month, without tea or coffee? Maybe you can’t live without having a takeaway? Give it up! Raise money by asking your family & friends to sponsor you giving up something you love for a set period of time as your personal challenge or to sponsor you a set amount per day and see how many days you last without it.
Auction Online: A simple way to fundraise, auction various items on your social media such as through Facebook or eBay. It could be items you already have at home and no longer want/need. This way you can earn rewards and de-clutter at the same time!
Munchies For Sale: A classic. Bake items at home, invite your friends/family around and sell/auction them to raise funds. Why not go all in and sell other homemade treats alongside your delicious baked goods like milkshakes, smoothies or classic desserts (trifle, cake & custard, tiramisu etc.). This could be part of your ‘Iftar Party’ above!
Competitive Event: Organise a paintballing or go-karting event, you could make it a competition between individuals, or something for teams? Add a little on top of the cost price as a donation. Or perhaps you can ask for a reduced charity rate when organising the event then get people to donate after that.
Football Match or Tournament: If you already play on a particular day and time, why not ask all the players to make a donation on the day too. Or if you’re a real football enthusiast, organise a charity football tournament. This is a great way to raise lots of funds.
Video Gaming Tournament: For those who love their video games, this ensures you have LOTS of fun whilst raising money. You can charge an entrance fee to anyone that wishes to take part and arrange a prize for the winner.
Regular reminders: Once you have made everyone aware of your fundraising target, be sure to update them on how it’s is going!
