With COVID-19, Mosques and community centres are facing an unprecedented situation, first closing to reduce the spread of the virus, then slowly and carefully reopening with strict social distancing measures in place. With this in mind, we developed a strategy for Mosques in our network to engage and empower their local communities online and via social media.
This unique situation not only poses a physical threat but a spiritual one where the vast majority of Muslims have been ‘cut-off’ from their Mosques for a protracted period of time.
This project includes training on communication tools for Mosques, helping them to achieve 4 core objectives in this uncertain time. These areas are:
